What time should you vacate a hotel room ?

When planning your stay, the matter of checking out is an important factor to organise your return. Indeed, to make the most of every moment, it is best to have all the necessary information. Therefore, what time should you check-out ?

How does hotel check-out work ?

Most hotels set the check-out time between 10 AM and 12 PM, so the cleaning service can prepare the room before the arrival of the next guests. Then, you will no longer have access to the services offered by your establishment. Still, each hotel individually decides on check-out time. We recommend that you check the details regarding departure on the hotel’s website or directly contact the staff. Do not worry, the staff at the reception will inform you of the check-out time at check-in.

Can you ask for a late check-out ?

If you wish to stay longer, you can ask the hotel staff and arrange a late check-out. This way, you can postpone your alarm and enjoy the comfortable bedding of your hotel room until the last minute. However, this additional time must be agreed in advance for the staff to be able to organise accordingly and inform the cleaning service. Most hotels will charge an additional fee for a late check-out, or charge you an extra night depending on your departure time.

What to do with your luggage after check-out ?

If you cannot benefit from a late check-out during your stay, some hotels have a luggage facility that allows you to store your suitcases in a safe place after checking out of your room. This way, you will be free to enjoy the last moments of your trip while waiting for your train or flight back. Dropping off your luggage is usually free, whereas some establishments may consider it an additional service and add it to your initial bill.

Now that you have all the necessary information to get the most out of your trip, so don’t wait any longer and book your stay at Central Hostel !
